Docs-as-code platform translates documentation into 27 languages
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Jamdesk, the docs-as-code platform from the founders of Ayrshare, today announced automatic AI translation for documentation sites, included on every plan at no extra cost. Teams pick their languages and Jamdesk translates the English pages after each build and commits the translated files to the team’s GitHub repository. There is no per-word pricing and no credits to buy.
Translation has long been one of the most expensive parts of running documentation. Teams either pay agencies by the word, buy metered AI credits from their docs vendor, or skip it and serve only English. Each project can translate into up to five languages, chosen from 27 that include Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Arabic. Each project gets up to 10,000 translated pages a month.
The first run translates the whole site. Later runs translate only the pages whose English source changed. A typo fix on one page retranslates that page, not the whole site.
Translated pages live in the customer’s repository and Git history. Teams can review and edit them like any other file.
“Every company with international users wants docs in their language, and almost nobody can justify the cost of keeping them current,” said Boris Markovich, co-founder of Jamdesk. “We made translation part of the build. Turn on a language, push to GitHub, and the translated docs ship with everything else.”
Translated sites get a language switcher, per-language navigation and right-to-left layouts for languages like Arabic. Sites can also send visitors to their browser’s language automatically. Each language gets its own llms.txt and llms-full.txt file, which AI coding assistants read.
“A developer in São Paulo or Tokyo shouldn’t have to read your docs through a browser translate button,” said Geoffrey Bourne, co-founder of Jamdesk. “Now they get real pages in their language, indexed by search engines and readable by AI tools, and the team doesn’t have to manage a translation process.”
Other New Features
Since launching in March, Jamdesk has also shipped:
• One plan with AI included: Jamdesk Pro is $29 per month or $290 per year, with AI chat, AI search and AI translation built in.
• Generated API reference: Jamdesk builds API reference pages and navigation straight from an API spec file.
• Branded AI chat: teams can give the docs chat assistant their own name and icon at no extra cost.
• Dusk theme: a fifth built-in theme with an ink-blue palette and serif page titles.
• Custom social cards: teams control how docs pages look when shared on social media and in chat apps.
• AI assistant access to private docs: login-protected docs sites can now be read by AI coding assistants that the team authorizes.
• Advanced Enterprise Features: JWT authentication, SSO, and PDF export included at no extra cost.
Automatic translation is available now to all Jamdesk customers. To get started, visit www.jamdesk.com.
